Passed my Ph.D. preliminary exam and am now officially a Ph.D. candidate. Thanks to my committee and labmates for their support along the way.

Back in San Francisco for SPIE Photonics West, where I gave two talks, on curvature-adaptive gigapixel microscopy (watch) and high-throughput 3D zebrafish profiling (watch). The zebrafish talk received the BaySpec Best Presentation Award. Another highlight of the week was meeting Prof. Joseph Goodman.

Our curvature-adaptive gigapixel microscopy paper was published and selected as an Editors’ Pick. Press coverage includes Optica, Phys.org, Bioengineer, EurekAlert!, Nanowerk, Optics.org, F4 News, and Photonics Spectra.

My first visit to SPIE Photonics West. I did not present this year, but it was a great chance to learn from leaders in the field, meet new people, and pick up ideas for new research.

Graduated from HUST. I am grateful to my advisor, Prof. Yong Deng, for her mentorship. These years built the foundation for my work in optics and imaging.

Gave my first conference talk at BME 2023 in Suzhou, China, on deep learning for full estimation of optical properties in thin ex vivo tissue. I was the only undergraduate speaker in my session.
